Set on a substantial plot, surrounded by a wide variety of mature, native plants and trees, this charming property has been lovingly cared for over the years. Set over mainly one level, this traditional-style quinta is ideal for holidays or year round living. Only 5 minutes from the small Portuguese town of Moncarapacho and 10 minutes from the nearest beach at Fuseta, this property offers calm country living within easy reach of all local services and amenities.

Electric gates at the front of the property open up into the well cared for plot. First impressions are of space, nature and tranquillity.

The house has various entrances: a main entrance at the front, one into the kitchen, another that takes you into the dining area from the pool side and a back door that opens into the other side of the main entrance hall. The main door to the property opens up into a wide entrance hall, that originally has a feature brick vaulted ceiling.

Off the entrance hall to the left, double doors take you through to a cosy split-level lounge / dining area. Double glazed windows on the southern side give the room plenty of natural light. There is central heating throughout the house and a log burner in the dining area for the winter months and air conditioning for cooling in the summer. The kitchen is off the top lounge/dining area towards the front of the house and doors on the other side of the room take you out into the garden and pool area.

The kitchen is compact, yet functional, and has a lot of charm with its sloped wooden ceiling. There is plenty of cupboard space and a breakfast bar that comfortably seats 2 people. Double doors take you out onto a covered porch and a wide patio area, which runs the length of the front of the cottage.

All the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the other side of the cottage off the main entrance hall. The first bathroom is at the end of the hallway and is next to the first bedroom. This bedroom has doors that allow a lot of light and open out into the garden on the poolside. The second bathroom (with a bath) is off the corridor outside the main bedroom. This bedroom also opens onto the poolside. Both bedrooms are a decent size, have cupboard space and are fitted with air conditioning units. There is additional storage space under the short flight of stairs that lead up to a mezzanine-style area that is currently used as a third bedroom.

All the windows and doors throughout the property are double-glazed and fitted with mosquito screens and manual shutters.

Outside, the plot is fully fenced. The garden in the immediate vicinity of the house is impeccable and has a superb mix of mature, native plants and trees that add both colour and shade. The grounds further away from the house have not been landscaped, however, they are easy to maintain and offer great potential.

The poolside has great countryside views out over to the Cerro de Sāo Miguel, part of the hill range that runs between Olhāo and Sāo Bras de Alportel. The garden offers a multitude of beautiful areas to relax or dine depending on the position of the sun.
