Tom De Boer

"I see it as a great challenge to bring buyer and seller together. If everyone is happy then I have done my job correctly."

How it all started
I grew up in a small town in the North of The Netherlands. Together with my family and 3 sisters. After getting a commerce degree in Banking I was starting my career with a traineeship to grow myself to become an advisor in the banking sector. I was seeing a lot of different places and people. This was amazing for my experience and be build my hard skills.

After working for a company for four years, I felt that I wanted to start my own company. Focused on consultancy in banking. This was the best decision I could have made. I have been able to carry out assignments in various major cities and at various banks. I used to go on holiday in the Algarve with my parents. So I already had some experience of this amazing place. After having my own company for 7 years, I was ready for a new challenge. Because my son already lived in the Algarve, it was the right step for me to move here. Because I already invested in the real estate market in the Netherlands and I found this market very interesting, I decided to join Divine Home. And this was already 4 years ago.

Why I love my job
Every day I am learning new things. I like to make my clients happy. So amazing that I can help them to find their dream home. Also the different type of skills you need to have is interesting.

I like being outside and interacting with people. Every day is different and that never makes it boring. I see it as a great challenge to bring buyer and seller together. If everyone is happy then I have done my job correctly.

When I'm not working
In my free time I like to spend time with my family. good food and drink. In addition to these activities, I also enjoy sports. Such as tennis or padel and of course enjoying the great beaches here in the Algarve. I also love to discover new cities and places.
